INTERIORS in PAINT
The Tivoli Artists Gallery is pleased to present At Home in the Hudson Valley, featuring work by gallery members as well as other local artists.
This week's focus is on the boldly rendered interior views by four painters in the show. Maribeth Tuton's fluid scenes are reverse-painted on glass windows in their original casements. Silvana Tagliaferri's rich layers of paint are built up, scraped and carved out with a palette knife. Elisabeth Barnett's warm, glowing interiors portray women at home, with assured strokes reminiscent of her plein air landscapes. S. L. Rika's glowing interiors employ a rich palette of contrasting colors that energize each object.
The show runs through June 26th at our gallery at 60 Broadway, Tivoli, New York.
