After receiving a BA in Fine Arts in the Midwest, Lynn moved to New York City to study at the Art Students League for two years. Drawn to printmaking, especially etching, she established an etching edition printing business, which she operated for 25 years. After taking a break to pursue a different path, she relocated to the Hudson Valley, where she was inspired to restart her art career. She now focuses primarily on monotype prints, a process that combines painting with printmaking.

I enjoy playing with colors and shapes in my prints. Sometimes when I mix up a new color that I like it will set off the direction that the print will go. I enjoy going from figurative to abstract work and I find humor is very necessary. I like trying different materials in the printing process. Sometimes these cause unexpected surprises which always delights me and then sends me off in a new direction. I do mainly monotype prints because it allows me the freedom to paint on a plate and other surfaces before running it through my press. I also use multiple plates to achieve a blending of colors and to obtain depth in my prints. I still use my old trusty Charles Brand etching press. Cranking out one unique print at a time and hopefully no more edition printing.
