Anne-Marie Uebbing

  • I am a contemporary artist working with mixed media; primarily oils, encaustics, ceramics, and printmaking. I explore the relationships of different materials through the juxtaposition of textural techniques with assemblage to convey a dynamic free-motion interplay of light and color.

  • I see my art as an intuitive process that examines patterns, light, color texture and geometric patterns from different sources. I treat my visual study abstractions as having a poetic narrative. The process of making art and experimenting with composition and color, whether subdued or loud, is my passion in the create process. I want to leave the viewer with a strong impression that peaks their interest.

  • Récent Work

The past 3 years I have explored the usability of paper in different molds, textures and paper mulch dipped work. This is a cross between 2 dimensional and 3 -dimensional work.

Thanks to the Women's Studio Workshop (Rosendale, NY) for being instrumental in my expansion of these techniques in their supportive studios and workshops.
