Kathleen Gefell is a Manhattan based artist who also lives in Dutchess County. She has studied at the Art Students League in NYC, with Kenneth McIndoe, Dominique Medici and Seth Nadel. She is represented by Pictor gallery in New York and is a member of Tivoli Artists Gallery in Dutchess County

Writers always remind us to ‘write what you know.’ But for artists, the adage shout be ‘paint what you feel.’ The Hudson Valley, where I live, remains my muse. I am always looking for shapes to play with, colors to push and the many moods of the Valley that correlate with my own.
