Joanne collects ephemera and detritus, the overlooked and abandoned. Keys, String, Papers, Tickets, Fabric. Every walk is an adventure to find flowers, leaves, branches, wood and rocks. She has collected rocks from Hawaii, Sinai, Ukraine, Maine and of course all over the Hudson Valley where she loves living. Her studio is brimming with everything she finds whether for inspiration or an eventual project.

Untrained, unschooled and uninfluenced by the art world, I began creating Art in 2017. I love many mediums and continue to explore. Collage, Mixed Media, Abstract painting, Printmaking and Encaustics. While I continue to explore my Art journey learning processes and finding other Artists who speak to me, my work remains uncooked by cultural and artistic influences. I work on several projects at a time. Those who know my predilections, bring me things, the odder the better.
