Salon des Independents! NuArt2023

Similar to the Salons of Paris, NuArt 2023 will celebrate the New Year by exhibiting the new ideas in art and creativity of our TAG members. Salon des Independents!

NuArt2023 exhibition’s focus is to showcase painting, sculpture, photography, literature, collage, drawing, poetry and music of TAG members and invited guests. Throughout the month performances of Poetry, Storytelling, Workshops, and Music will take place.

We invite members, family, and community friends to attend these events. Poets, storytellers, and musicians interested in sharing their creativity can contact the curators for information on scheduling a performance!

Friday 5-8:30 PM, Saturday 12-8 PM, Sunday 1- 5PM

Comics & Zines
Showing and Performance Sunday January 15  


For children and teens ages 10 and up with author/illustrator Adam Gudeon. 
Learn to write with pictures and words with drawing and writing prompts and games leading to each participant creating their own comics and zine. The following week, student comics and zines will be displayed in the gallery AND will be brought to life in performances by professional actors.

Caitlin Langstaff ,Vanessa Vartabedian and Zion Green of Tidal Theatre Company will be performing a staged reading of Carlos Fuente’s Orchids in the Moonlight. Set in Venice the day Orson Welles died, this extraordinary play by a leading Mexican writer stretches the imagination with artistic reveries and supernatural fantasies!

Join us at TAG gallery for a conversation/interview with Mindell Dubinsky. Elizabeth Kiefer will be our interviewer for this evening event

Mindell Dubansky is museum librarian for preservation, Sherman Fairchild Center for Book Conservation, Thomas J. Watson Library, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Sidney E. Berger is director emeritus of the Phillips Library at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, MA.
